Laboratory Testing of Suspect Building Materials

J&J Home Inspections LLC provides asbestos bulk material sampling for residential and commercial properties. Because asbestos content generally cannot be confirmed by visual observation alone, a physical sample of the suspect material is collected and submitted to a qualified laboratory for analysis. This service may be appropriate before renovation, repair, demolition, or another activity that could disturb a suspect material. J&J's service is limited to bulk material sampling and the laboratory report. J&J does not provide asbestos air monitoring, post-abatement clearance air testing, abatement, or remediation.

Asbestos Bulk Material Sampling

Jeff collects physical samples of specifically identified suspect building materials and submits them to a qualified laboratory for asbestos analysis. The laboratory result applies to the material sampled. When air monitoring, clearance testing, abatement, remediation, or a broader regulatory inspection is needed, the client should use an appropriately qualified asbestos professional for that service.

Schedule Bulk Material Sampling

Contact J&J to discuss the suspect material, the reason for testing, and whether bulk sampling is appropriate. Do not cut, sand, scrape, drill, or otherwise disturb a material that may contain asbestos. If asbestos is confirmed, use an appropriately qualified professional for repair, removal, air monitoring, or clearance services.
