Our Services
J&J provides detailed, visual home inspections of readily accessible systems and components, including the roof, exterior, structure, electrical system, plumbing system, heating and cooling systems, interior, attic, insulation, and other components within the agreed inspection scope. Jeff personally performs the inspection and prepares a photo-rich report to help the client understand the property's visible condition.
J&J provides mold and moisture assessments with air or surface sampling when appropriate. Samples are submitted to a qualified independent laboratory, and the laboratory findings are interpreted together with conditions observed during the assessment. Testing documents conditions present at the time of the assessment and helps the client make informed decisions about appropriate next steps.
J&J provides short-term radon measurement using professional continuous monitoring equipment. The test documents radon levels during the measurement period so the result can be compared with current EPA guidance. EPA identifies radon as the second-leading cause of lung cancer overall and the leading cause among people who have never smoked.
J&J collects private-well water samples and submits them to a qualified laboratory for analysis. This service is available for homeowners and for real estate transactions, including FHA, VA, and USDA loans when testing is required. Required analytes and collection procedures vary, so clients should confirm the lender's current requirements before sampling.
J&J provides particulate sampling to document selected airborne particles present at the time of testing. When microscopic identification is requested, the sample is submitted to a qualified laboratory. Results are explained with the field observations and limitations so the client can decide whether additional evaluation or corrective work is appropriate.
J&J Home Inspections LLC collects bulk samples of suspect building materials and submits the samples to a qualified laboratory for asbestos analysis. J&J does not provide asbestos air monitoring, asbestos clearance air testing, abatement, or remediation.
Home inspectors perform general home inspections, while Wood Infestation Inspection Reports (termite letters) must be performed and issued by a properly licensed pest-control company. J&J coordinates this service through licensed pest-control partners.
